We are developing a county-wide NYOFACE Community Response Team (NCRT) to address the issue of identifying teen dating violence. This is a multidisciplinary team of professionals and citizens who would gather regularly to examine the response of our community systems to victims and offenders of these crimes. We are excited about the prospect of developing such an effort here in our community. Join Us!!

NYOFACE Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Council
Emerging evidence shows that youth engagement is an effective strategy for the prevention of teen dating abuse (Robert Wood Johnson, Start Strong Project, 2013), and for those of us working in the prevention field, this just makes sense. We know that young people are disproportionately impacted by dating and sexual violence. They are in the best position to inform adult preventionists about the abuse that is impacting their lives, and about effective strategies for preventing it. We also know that young people bring the greatest credibility in leading teen dating violence prevention efforts with their peers. Those of us who have had the opportunity to convene youth councils know that working with youth as preventionists is some of the most fun, inspiring and productive work that we get to do.
NYOFACE needs Educators, from Middle and High School Education Levels
NYOFACE is always looking for volunteers to serve on our Youth Mentorship & Empowerment Teams. We believe that a solid organization is built on relationships between students and adults, each working side-by-side to reach this generation for a positive change and success in life, in relationships and service. When these two elements are used together, real growth takes place in our lives.
The purpose of this team is to train, develop and equip students to know there worth, make positive choices & have a great impact on their generation. The quality of our team is very important. We are looking for men and women who have a growing commitment desire, and truly care for the success and well being of our youth.

All information will be kept strictly confidential. The Youth Mentorship & Empowerment Programs at NYOFACE is a great way to invest your time. A. Will be working with teens
B. Must possess the ability to maintain a controlled class environment & workshop schedules
C. Display exemplary behavior and follow guidelines
D. Meals will be provided during volunteer hours
E. Coach, Teach and Mentor teens to motivate them to better their lives
F. Experience in Fashion, Art & Media a plus!
