Changing the world for teenagers happens to one at a time. Teens do not connect to programs, they connect to people. The most effective way to influence students is through significant relationships by key people in their lives.

 

NYOFACE is providing one of those key relationships.  We offer youth in our community services in education, training and an outlet for artist, performers and writers.  Our aim is at the social integration and empowerment of at-risk youth in our community, Together with the development of their technical skills, confidence building and social entrepreneurship.

It addresses the important dimensions of at-risk youth, such as Teen Dating Violence, powerlessness (often linked with isolation and lack of information) and exposure to risky behaviors due to idleness and lack of spaces for safe and constructive free time activities. Through the establishment of youth-friendly spaces and by encouraging civil society initiatives we provide creative skills enhancement activities for the youth in our community, this component aims at fostering empowerment of our youth through education, media, fashion, art, journalism & entertainment.
