The Mission of the Lee Arthur Johnson Center is to enhance the student learning process by promoting the intellectual growth of students and providing comprehensive testing services to members of the community outside the formal school setting.

OUR PROGRAMS

College Preparatory

LAJC College preparatory courses encompass a broad range of subjects, such as math, science and language arts. They are designed to prepare potential college students for the rigors of academic work at the university level and sharpen key important skills such as reading comprehension

Our students will focus on learning tools and strategies that help them understand complex concepts and ideas presented on college entrance exams like the SAT and ACT.

Why You Need Our Service

Standard Curriculum varies across the classroom spectrum. An “A” in one class may be considered a “B” in another. Conversely, National tests like the SAT and ACT measure the students knowledge against other students in classrooms across the Nation. Grading not only based on the scores predominate in their State, but against other students beyond their State. This comparison determines the score. Where this same student may excel in the classroom, they may not score so well on these tests.

We are here to bridge the “gap” between GPA and SAT/ACT scores.

Provide a public service by offering computer-based and/or paper-pencil testing services.

Administer and/or provide information for national tests, including ACT and SAT.

Provide a facility conducive to a quality testing environment which will be clean, comfortable, quiet, aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly.

Recruit and retain qualified, professional, dedicated support staff.

Collaborate with our staff and administrators, colleges and universities, testing companies, and national organizations to keep abreast with the most recent changes in all aspects of our testing services.
