Purpose: To develop a self contained instructional facility serving the areas of music, art, dance, acting, singing, production, photography, videography, fashion Design, Fashion Stylist/MUA  & graphic design.  This facility will also groom successful students for professional agent and management representation.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

 

 

 

MUA-MAKEUP ARTIST

 

This program is a fast track program for the individual who wants to start their career as a makeup artist in the shortest amount of time. We offer 6 different classes. Classes are limited to 20 students max. The class consists of lecture -demo-application for each section. The classes are fast paced but precise. $95.00.  (Makeup kits available for purchase)

 

MODELING

Runway Modeling , Stage Presence, Movement, Hair and Make-up & Photo Shoots

 

Industry Knowledge--"3 Steps to Agency Representation": (1.5 hour session): x Learn how to put together the tools necessary to submit to agencies and obtain representation. x Learn how to represent yourself with the proper tools. x Be challenged with creating model resume, portfolio and other marketing tools.

Industry Knowledge--Follow Up Session (1 hour):  x Review and edit of materials created upon suggestion in initial Industry Knowledge Session.

Posing for Success--"Building Your Portfolio" (includes professional photo shoot with local Photographer):  x Learn proper posing techniques when on set. x Gain connections within the Dallas market (MakeUp Artists, Hair Stylists, etc). x Learn how to create your first portfolio.

Runway Etiquette--"Walk the Walk" (1.5 hour sessions):  x Learn various industry "walks". x Be challenged with learning turns and techniques to showcase designer fashions and shoes.

All That Poise--"Building Confidence in Yourself" (1.5 hour sessions):  x Improve in self-imagery & confidence. x Learn how to command attention upon entering a room. x Learn how to deal with anxieties of stage presence.

Beauty Queen To Be--"Pageant Coaching" (1.5 hour sessions):  x Learn about pageant presentations in various categories. x Covers head shot posing for ads & additional competition categories. x Be challenged in public speaking and commercial presentation.

FASHION DESIGN & SEWING TECHNOLOGY

Beginner to Advance design & sewing classes

We are a skill-based learning studio focused on fashion design – including sketching, draping, creating and sewing! We offer camps, classes and workshops for kids, teens and adults. Private parties, Birthdays, and special groups are welcome, too!

 

SEWING 1.0

This is our beginner sewing class. Learn how to thread the sewing machine, use a pattern, fabric & cutting session, sewng terminology.  You will lear how to sew a reversible tote bag or draw string backpack. (Fabric required. Can be purchased at class) 4 session - 2hrs. each $145.00

 

Sew Fab- Lab

Already know how to sew? Use our studio space and get guidence on your sewing projects. You must be able to thread your machine, load a bobbin and have the basic knowledge of sewing. If you've taken our Sewing 1.0 your good to go!

up to 5 hrs. $19 per hour

6-10 hrs. $17 per hour

(To recieve discounted hourly rates. All Hours must be purchased at the same time/one transaction.)

            

Fashion Design I

 

A 4 week program for the next generation of young designers. Offered throughout the year, this program provides high school students a nurturing environment to test their interest in fashion, explore their talents and get a jumpstart on their dreams. The course includes fashion art and clothing construction.  Students will participate in a fashion show & receive a certificate upon completion. 4 session - 2hrs. each $389.00

 

 

 

 

DANCE

Our classes are 1 hr per week @ $48 per month or $88 per month for 1 hr. 2x's per week. Private lessons are $120 per hr. AGE 13 & Up. Classes are on going. Multiple family member or class discounts (must be in the same household). $12 per 1 hr. per class to try.

 

DANCE - HIP HOP Saturday 12-1pm

Basic to Intermediate urban street dance technique. Urban street dance theory and history Past & present.

 

 

DANCE- LATIN - Saturday 1-2pm

Beginning to intermediate, dance techniques. Standard & Latin . tango, mambo, cha cha, rumba.

 

DANCE- MODERN/JAZZ - Saturday 2-3pm

Beginning to intermediate, jazz and modern technique.

Review your video before sending it in! Make sure it contains:

1. A close up of the applicant giving a brief introduction including name, where you currently dance, and why you would like to be an NAPVA instructor.

 

2. Must contain a least a 8 count routine and showcase skills (kicks, combinations, leaps etc.)
